These Air Fryer Nutella Bombs are a decadent, easy-to-make dessert featuring Pillsbury biscuits filled with rich, creamy Nutella, cooked to golden perfection in an air fryer and dusted with a touch of confectioners’ sugar. Perfect as a quick indulgence or a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 1 can (8-count) Pillsbury Grand biscuits (not flaky layers)

Filling

  • 1 cup (280 g) Nutella

Other

  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup (31 g) confectioners’ sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare biscuit layers: Remove the biscuits from the can and carefully peel each biscuit to separate it into two layers, creating 16 layers total. Press each layer gently into a 4-inch circle to ensure even thickness for cooking.
  2. Add Nutella filling: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of Nutella onto the center of each biscuit circle, spreading slightly but leaving room at the edges to seal properly.
  3. Form balls: Fold each biscuit layer around the Nutella filling and pinch the edges tightly to seal the dough into balls. Make sure the dough is evenly thick all around to allow even cooking and prevent filling leak.
  4. Brush with butter: Using a pastry brush, coat the tops and bottoms of each ball generously with melted butter to encourage browning and enhance flavor.
  5. Prepare air fryer basket: Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking and arrange the Nutella bombs about 2 inches apart to allow air circulation.
  6. Air fry: Cook the bombs in batches at 330°F (165°C) for 7-8 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Cool and serve: Remove the bombs from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve warm, dusted with confectioners’ sugar for a sweet finishing touch.

Notes

  • Ensure the biscuits are of the ‘Grand’ type, not flaky layers, for best texture.
  • Do not overfill with Nutella to prevent leakage during cooking.
  • Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket.
  • Let the bombs cool a bit before serving to avoid burns from hot Nutella.
