Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 8 ounces ham, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
- 3 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
- 3 ounces thinly sliced salami
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Grinder Salad & Dressing
- 8 ounces shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomato
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Prepare rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally and place the bottom halves evenly in a baking dish, creating a base for your sliders.
- Layer fillings: Layer the sliced provolone cheese evenly over the roll bottoms. Next, add the ham, pepperoni, and salami on top of the cheese. Then place the roll tops back over the stacked ingredients and slice through the entire sandwich between each roll to separate the sliders.
- Make butter topping and bake: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, grated parmesan, garlic powder, and salt. Spread this mixture evenly over the slider tops. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the cheese melts and the tops turn golden brown.
- Prepare the grinder salad: While the sliders bake, whisk together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to create a flavorful dressing. Toss the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced pepperoncini peppers in the dressing until well combined.
- Assemble and serve: When the sliders are finished baking, remove the tops from each sandwich. Add a generous amount of the prepared grinder salad onto the bottom halves, then place the tops back on. Serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add sliced onions or olives to the grinder salad.
- Use a sharp serrated knife to slice the rolls cleanly without squishing them.
- If you don’t have Hawaiian rolls, soft dinner rolls can be a good substitute.
- Make sure butter is softened for easy spreading over the slider tops.
- These sliders are best enjoyed fresh but can be wrapped and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
