- ½ teaspoon salt
Spicy Salmon Mixture
- 12 oz skinless salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Toppings and Garnishes
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 sheets roasted seaweed (nori), cut into small squares
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Dish: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Rice Layer: In a bowl, combine the cooked sushi rice with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Mix thoroughly, then press this seasoned rice evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a solid base.
- Mix the Spicy Salmon: In a separate bowl, combine the flaked cooked salmon with mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Stir well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Assemble the Bake: Spread the spicy salmon mixture evenly over the rice layer in the baking dish. Then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the salmon layer.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and slightly golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from oven and let the bake cool slightly. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve warm with roasted seaweed squares on the side for scooping and enjoying.
